Younas Khan

Born in middle class family, socialized in rural area of Pakistan, Khan is a sound record of both formal and informal education. Since followed all the walk of life of his father and married at the age of 18 while pursuing Bachelor of studies in Sociology in 2014. This stage was challenging for Khan, although received his bachelor degree in 2016 with distinction of Gold medal with corroboration of one daughter (Taqwa). After that Khan enrolled at the University of Agriculture Peshawar at MPhil (18 years) education under session 2017-2018, and become the first student of Prof. Dr. Mussawar Shah to teach research methods class of MPhil till Aug 2020, co-supervising 18 MPhil scholars and dependent father of two kids of Taqwa and Zaid (son). After completing 18 year of education with distinction of Gold Medal, Khan become the 1st student which passed the screening test of PhD among 80 participants and enrolled in PhD under session 2019 at the same university. While in first class Prof. Shah narrated to Khan that “Now you are in the Waterloo, there are muds in surrounding, and you have to get from all these by yourself”. Khan didn’t get the point of the Professor at that time, but as time passed and surround with stress, excessive studying, unemployed, dependent on father by giving pocket money, and fear from dark future. As the course work end in Jan 2020, two major hurdles as awaiting namely passing of comprehensive examination and 3 hours oral exam which chaired by the Dean of social sciences and hated the supervisor of Khan. After passing that stage, the research proposal was passed within 2 months with supervising of PhD and MPhil scholars of Professor as well. Despite being a two distinctions at bachelor and master level Khan still unemployed and dependent on parent, his Professor recommend Khan as a contract lecturer in Sociology at Bacha Khan University Charsadda, Pakistan where his first professional career was started from November 2020 till July 2022. During this time period Khan learned and teach all the subjects of sociology to Bachelor and Master level students with supervising of master level students with corroboration of departmental controller of examination. The file work was mostly corrupted and all the results which was submitted to controller office were not satisfactory since 2010. Khan streamline all the results and online all the results along with giving all the batches report of awaiting gold medalist since 2010 to 2022 in a mechanized period. At the same time working as a lecturer, departmental controller of examination, awaiting to foreign reports of PhD, stressful scenario and become drugs addicts. Khan try to stable his life in terms of economics therefore try to marry Assistant Professor but failed to do so. Thus, in July 2022 Khan decided to leave the job and focused on PhD reports which were late since 18 months. After leaving Bacha Khan University, Khan give time to his own family which is already dysfunctional due to PhD and excessive stressful life which is not expected. At that time, the Khan life was completely changed due to his 2nd daughter to come namely Haya. After careful and giving time to her new born baby Khan was so much addicted to him and become a well manner father and avoid all the drugs before they used to do so. Thus, in May 2023 Khan avail his PhD degree from his Tenured Professor and become the youngest PhD sociologist of Pakistan with a sound trolley of 43 articles in peer reviewed journal with amalgamation of 16 articles under review process. After PhD degree Dr. Khan become research coordinator at Oxfam-funded project work on “Measuring the unpaid care work and women empowerment” which further give a new insights in to professional life. After completion of the project within a mechanized time period. Dr. Khan joined the Kohat University of Science and Technology as a visiting lecturer in sociology and supervising MPhil scholars on topics regarding food security and solution for hunger eradication on sustainable grounds. Lastly, Dr. Khan seeking for postdoctoral position under a kind patronage which further open new vistas towards attainment of his dream of wining a Nobel Peace Prize before his death.
