Biography

Carlos José Dias Pereira holds a PhD in Food Science and Engineering (University of Santiago de Compostela/Spain), an MSc in Food Science (University of Reading/UK), and a BSc in Veterinary Medicine (University of Lisbon/Portugal). He is a full professor with habilitation at the Department of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of the Polytechnic University of Coimbra - School of Agriculture. He participated in ten national (coordinated five) and two international R&D projects (coordinated one), is co-author of fifty scientific papers published in indexed peer-reviewed journals, six patents, nine book chapters, and more than a hundred communications in international scientific meetings.
