Dr Chong is currently Clinical Professional Consultant in the Department of Surgery, Prince of Wales Hospital, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and received her post-graduate surgical training mostly in the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg and a member of several professional organizations including the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA), International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists, Hong Kong Society of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Hong Kong Society of Robotic Surgery and Asian EUS Group. She is also the honorary treasurer of Hong Kong Society of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery. After obtained her fellowship in 2010, she received her further training in surgical oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Robotic surgery in University of Illinois at Chicago. She also received her EUS training at Changhai Hospital in Shanghai and Asan Medical Center in Seoul. She was specialized in general surgery (hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery). Her main research interests are in the field of surgical management of hepato-biliary and pancreatic cancer. She is also interested in a number of hepato-biliary and pancreatic diseases, especially on interventional EUS and minimally invasive hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery.
