Dr. Marcos Soto Hernández is a pharmacist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Wales, UK. He is currently a full professor at Colegio de Postgraduados, Mexico, where he researches the phytochemistry and bioactivity of natural products. He has established collaboration with research groups in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, and México. He has received several awards locally and abroad. His main line of research is related to the bioguided isolation of secondary metabolites with importance in medicine and agriculture, as well as the potential of local aromatic plants.
