Ashfaq Ahmad Rahi
Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad Rahi, a distinguished Pakistani agricultural chemist specializing in pesticides, was born on July 25th, 1964, in Multan. He holds a rich academic background, culminating in a Ph.D. in Botany from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, where his research focused on enhancing tomato crop yield using potassium humate and micronutrients under Multan's agro-climatic conditions. Earlier, he completed his M.Sc. (Hons) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Soil Science from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, earning top positions for his academic excellence. Dr. Rahi's career spans several significant roles in agricultural chemistry, notably as Chief Scientist at the Pesticides Quality Control Laboratory in Multan since 2014, where he supervises critical research and quality assurance initiatives particularly accreditation of Pesticide Quality Control Laboratory (ISO 17025:2017).
