Songül Gürsoy

Dicle University

Dr. Songül Gürsoy is a professor in the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering, Dicle University, Türkiye. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Mechanization and an MSc in Agriculture Machinery from Atatürk University, Türkiye, in 1989 and 1997, respectively. She obtained a Ph.D. in Agriculture Machinery from Cukurova University, Türkiye, in 2005. She completed her postdoctoral studies in the Department of Biosystems Engineering, University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Gürsoy has been researching and teaching in the field of agricultural engineering, focusing on the performance of tillage and planting machinery, mechanical weed management, processing technologies of field crops, drying technology, and precision agriculture. She has been conducting many projects on the conservation of tillage systems and mechanical weed control in the production of field crops. She has more than sixty scientific publications to her credit.
