Ernest Adeghate
Prof Dr. Adeghate obtained his MD from Semmelweis University Medical School, Budapest, Hungary and his PhD and DSc from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He has a Master of Family Medicine degree from Monash University, Australia. Dr. Adeghate is a professor of Anatomy at the College of Medicine & Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain, United Arab Emirates and a past Chairperson of the Diabetes and Cardiovascular Research Priority Group, United Arab Emirates University. His research interest is in the field of experimental diabetes and has published more than 200 full-length articles in peer-reviewed journals, 15 book chapters, 116 abstracts and attended over 72 scientific conferences. He edited a book entitled “Diabetes Mellitus & its Complications: Molecular Mechanisms, Epidemiology & Clinical Medicine” which was published in 2006 by Wiley & Sons. He is the Editor in Chief of The Open Medicinal Chemistry Journal.
