Dr. Soumya Basu is an associate professor at Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth University (DPU), Pune, India. With more than 17 years of research experience in drug design, development, and preclinical validation, she has published more than forty peer-reviewed articles. She has taught post-graduate students for more than 10 years. Dr. Basu’s research focuses on designing small-molecule partial agonists of PPAR-γ and using artificial intelligence to understand exosomal miRNA\'s role in cancer metastasis. She is the recipient of many awards and recognitions, including the Early Career Research Award from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. She is a reviewer for several international journals and has received many awards and recognitions. She is also a member of statutory boards and the Board of Studies at Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth University, and a life member of professional bodies The Cytometry Society and All India Cell Biology Society in India. Dr. Basu qualified for several national competitive examinations, including the National Eligibility Test (NET) and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). She is also recognized as an Innovation Ambassador of the Ministry of Education\'s Innovation Cell (MIC), Ministry of Education of India (MHRD). Additionally, she plays a key role in fostering industry-academia collaborations and shaping curriculum strategies.
