Yaroslava Robles-Bykbaev

Yaroslava Robles Bykbaev, born in Cuenca in 1982, holds a Ph.D. in Health Sciences from the University of La Coruña-Spain, a master’s in health research from the University of Cuenca-Ecuador, a master’s in medical anthropology and international health from the University Rovira I Virgili-Spain, a master’s in cell biology and cytogenetics from the ESNECA Group-Spain, and a medical doctor degree from the University of Cuenca-Ecuador. She was also a professor in psychophysiology, bio-histology, anatomy and physiology, anatomy, research methodology, biology, and biostatistics. She has taught research methodology in cultural management, psychology, intercultural health, and public health in various universities. Yaroslava Robles Bykbaev is a member of the UNESCO Chair of the Politecnica Salesiana University; she has directed the project on sexual and reproductive health for deaf people in Cuenca, has been a director and is currently co-director of the project on sexual health and self-care for the prevention of sexual violence in children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities in the framework of the Solidarity Fund for Innovative Projects (PISSCA) through the cooperation and cultural action of the French Embassy in Ecuador. She has contributed as co-author and author to approximately 30 scientific publications in the fields of statistics, inclusive education, stem cell culture, and social and cultural anthropology. These publications focus on the visibility of problems in the field of public health and focus on the creation of proposals to improve community health. Dr. Yaroslava Robles Bykbaev is an active member of the NODO Ecuadorian Network of Women Scientists (REMCI) (https://www.remci.org/aliadas). She was part of the traveling exhibition of Women Scientists of Ecuador in the framework of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, corresponding to the exhibition called Women Protagonists of Science: The Scientific Footprint of Women in Ecuador from February 10 to 25, 2022, in Cuenca, Ecuador.
