Mustapha Asniza

Dr. Asniza Mustapha studied bioresources, paper, and coatings technology in 2008. She obtained an MSc in Polymer Chemistry and Resin Technology in 2011 and a Ph.D. from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia, in 2017. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia. From 2009 to 2018, she worked in the field of bioresources, engaging in both fundamental and applied research, material science, and application development with a focus on biomass and lignocellulosic materials. Dr. Mustapha is now a research officer in the Bamboo, Rattan, and Palms Unit, Forest Products Division at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Selangor, Malaysia. Her research interests include biocomposite technology, natural fiber-reinforced polymer composite technology, nanocellulose, nano-based composites, and the production and development of value-added products from wood and non-wood materials. She is a member of the Malaysia Board of Technologies (MBOT) and the Malaysian Bamboo Society (MBS). As a junior researcher, Dr. Mustapha has authored about nineteen scientific articles. She has also published eleven book chapters and six general publications, including conference proceedings, short articles for magazines, and technical reports.
