Tamás Bányai

University of Miskolc

Tamás Bányai received a master’s degree in 1993 and a Ph.D. in 1999, both from the University of Miskolc, Hungary, where he is currently a full-time professor. He has 30 years of teaching and research experience in the design and control of materials handling systems and supply chain management, with special emphasis on heuristic optimization of large-scale systems. He has published more than 200 research papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He has been a member and manager of more than 50 national and international R&D projects. Away from academia, Prof. Bányai’s other interests include playing the piano and taking photographs.
