Francisco Javier Cuevas de la Rosa, computer systems engineer for the Tecnológico de Monterrey in 1984, completed his master of science in computer science with a specialty in artificial intelligence at the same institute in 1995, followed by a doctorate in sciences (optics) at the Centro de Investigaciones en Óptica (CIO) in 2000. With more than 80 publications in computer vision and artificial intelligence, he has participated in more than 60 national and international conferences. He has been a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores del CONAHCYT since 1995 and has supervised more than 30 graduate students. As a senior researcher at the CIO, he has taught more than 90 courses in areas including optical metrology, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.
