Rainfall plays an important role; its deficiency leads to meteorological droughts and further impacts hydrological, agricultural, and socioeconomic droughts, and its surplus causes floods over urban areas. With the advancement of technology, it is possible to determine future rainfall accurately by collating the data from observations, radar, and satellite and model simulations. The current book is of immense help in evaluating and understanding the atmospheric processes governed by the various physical laws, and the results of the chapters provide deep insight for a better understanding of rainfall phenomena across the different regions of the world.
