Yavuz Yardim
Dr. Yavuz Yardım, holding a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering and recognized as a CEng MICE in the UK, has served in academic roles across Malaysia, Albania, Oman, Turkey, and the UK. Currently, Dr. Yardım is part of the Civil and Environmental Engineering discipline at the University of Edinburgh. His significant contributions include developing an expert system application for bridge inspectors in Malaysia and leading the inspections of over 150 significant bridges in Albania. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed articles in structural engineering. Dr. Yardım\'s research experience and areas of interest encompass the experimental and numerical investigation of reinforced concrete structures, earthquake-resistant buildings, and the performance of historical masonry structures and RC bridges. He also has extensive experience in predicting the behavior of unreinforced masonry and RC buildings and historical structures under static and dynamic loads. Dr. Yardım has also been involved in and led several academic projects.
