Javier Vilamitjana

Javier Vilamitjana holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Exercise & Health Science. His academic specialization took place in USA in the field of exercise science and sport performance (University of Delaware, University of Texas at Austin and University of California at Berkeley). He was a faculty member of Human Performance Laboratory at National High Performance Sports Center (CENARD, Argentina) for many years with a vast experience in sport science research. Moreover, he was employed at different academic institutions with his teaching, research, and service (1993-2011): National Institute of Physical Education Romero Brest (INEF Nº1), University of Buenos Aires (UBA), University of Flores (UFLO), University of Salvador (USAL), University of San Martin (UNSAM) and University of Lomas de Zamora (UNLZ). He has worked as a fitness coach since 1995 with professional football teams, and his main research interests focus on the evaluation and monitoring of the physical and physiological determinants of performance in football.
