Dr Rizwan Ahmad is doctorate in Earth Science and has vast research & teaching experience in India and abroad. He has worked with prestigious institute like IIRS, ISRO (Respond) project, Forest Survey of India, and Eritrea Institute of Technology (EIT), Asmara, Eritrea (North East Africa) as Assistant Professor of Geospatial technology. Dr Ahmad is specialized in Remote sensing & GIS applications and Applied geology. His major publications are in applied geosciences using RS & GIS techniques; Dr Ahmad worked as Knowledge Partner on UN-SDGs Goals 2030 using geospatial and statistical data in LK Singhania Education Center (participating UNESCO asp.net), by organizing UN-SDGs International Children’s Conference 2018. Dr Ahmad has also completed certified Training Programs of NASA’s Applied Remote Sensing during 2020-2021. Presently, Dr Ahmad is working in the capacity of Guest Faculty in Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing & GIS Applications, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. Dr Ahmad has designated as Second point of Contact for United Nations – Global Geospatial Information Management (UN GGIM) Academic Network. He served as reviewer in many journals and of repute, IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations & Remote Sensing, and Disaster Advances is one of them. He is also associated with Springer publication to review preliminary book information of book proposals.
