Reema Safadi
Reema Safadi (RN, PhD, LCCE) completed my Bachelor of Nursing and Masters in Nursing Education from the University of Jordan, and my PhD from the Manchester Metropolitan University / Manchester, UK, in 2000. My PhD dissertation was an ethnography of birth of Jordanian new mothers. Currently, I am a professor at the School of Nursing, the University of Jordan. My research interests include nursing education, women’s health, reproductive health, and gender issues. I was granted the Fulbright Award for 2015-2016 to conduct a qualitative study of Acculturation and Marital Relationships of Arab-American Women in the US. I held several administrative positions i.e., Chair of the Maternity and Child Health Department and the Dean of School of Nursing in two private universities in Jordan.
