My name is Gonzalo Ignacio Gómez Ordenes, Graduated in Biochemistry in 2011, Master\'s Degree in Biological Sciences in 2013, and PhD in Physiology in June 2017, whose name of my doctoral thesis was titled: \"The Via RhoA / ROCK regulates the activity of hemichannels and gap junctions formed by Cx43 in renal damage by Angiotensin II”. For 5 years (from 2011 to July 2016) I was working in the laboratory of Dr. Victoria Velarde and Dr. Juan Carlos Sáez, within the Department of Physiology, in the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. I have learned various techniques, from primary culture to the ability to perform studies of functionality of Hemichannels and gap junctions formed by Connexins and Pannexins, at cellular and animal level, this focused mainly on understanding how hypertension can affect the function of the kidney. From August 2016 to February 2018, I work in the Neurosciences Laboratory at the Medical Research Center of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, under the responsibility of Dr. Juan Andrés Orellana, where I study the role of in vivo and in vitro treatment with ethanol in the production of pro-inflammatory and glial activation markers. My main scientific contributions in the last 5 years are the ones that I present below: • Gómez GI, Velarde V. Boldine Improves Kidney Damage in the Goldblatt 2K1C Model Avoiding the Increase in TGF-β.
