Elna Chalisserry is currently an adjunct assistant professor at Pushpagiri Research Centre, India. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Dentistry from India and subsequently earned a master's degree in Oral Pathology from Queen Mary University of London. Dr. Chalisserry was awarded her Ph.D. from Pukyong National University, Busan, Korea. She has held roles as a researcher and assistant professor at King Saud University in Riyadh and Jazan University in Saudi Arabia, respectively. With more than 12 years of experience in research, Dr. Chalisserry has made significant contributions to the field of dentistry, particularly in developing biofunctional biomaterials for bone regeneration and exploring the therapeutic potential of stem cells. Her work has extended to the field of periodontology, where she has focused on the use of novel biomaterials and regenerative techniques to enhance periodontal healing and bone regeneration. Dr. Chalisserry has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and contributed chapters to books, sharing her expertise on these topics. She has also presented her research at various international conferences and workshops, particularly highlighting her innovative approaches to bone regeneration in different animal models.
