Dear readers and collaborators,
As the new year approaches and we reflect on the achievements of our second year, let us also turn our gaze towards the promising future ahead.
The significance of open access and open science (particularly open data) cannot be emphasized enough in our field. By embracing these principles at ACRT, we are not just adding to academic discussions—we are also making knowledge more accessible and transparent, encouraging collaboration and the dissemination of knowledge.
Over the past years, ACRT’s total views and downloads reached close to 42,000, reflecting the high quality of work published in the journal and its growing impact on our field. ACRT has garnered attention from researchers from more than 30 countries, with an increase in submissions compared to our inaugural year. This growth underscores the journal’s positive trajectory. The acceptance rate, reflecting the journal’s commitment to quality, stands at 50%, reinforcing our dedication to maintaining high standards.
Many papers have been well cited and have had high numbers of downloads. Johns Hopkins University’s Dr. Sharon Mistretta led a pioneering special issue on technologies and creative learning, including articles investigating social and emotional learning. At the same time, zero-trust new norms for AI were revealed in a special issue by Eduard Babulak.
I want to thank our Editorial Board for their guidance and the leadership of six journal sections. I would especially like to highlight our reviewers for their exemplary performances, while the diligence of our editorial staff cannot go unnoticed. To each of you, I renew my commitment as EIC to buttress the journal’s technical excellence and enhance its worldwide attractiveness. Working with such a world-class editorial board and a group of contributing authors and reviewers is a distinct honour. The journal’s success is directly attributable to their hard work and dedication.
To our many supporters, we look forward to helping society learn in the year to come with your help.
We wish you and yours a wonderful New Year!
